Wrap your little one in love and legacy.
“Kendi” means “Loved One” in Kimeru, and this deep affection is at the heart of KendiKids’ mission: to wrap the next generation in love, culture, and opportunity. As an eco-friendly baby apparel brand inspired by African heritage, its designs draw from timeless patterns and cultural symbols to create beautiful, organic, and sustainable clothing.
When Point of AC first partnered with KendiKids, the initial focus was on selling beautiful baby apparel. However, a personal visit to the founder Kendi’s hometown in Meru, Africa, revealed a profound purpose and opportunity. By witnessing her heritage and visiting local schools, we understood that Kendi had a bigger mission – to give back to the community that raised her to today.
It is with this conviction that the brand evolved from more than just baby apparel to a shared vision: to make KendiKids a powerful vehicle for cultural exchange, and the chance to do good.

Weaving Purpose into the Digital Core
Point of AC ensured that KendiKids’ digital presence fully conveyed this touching story of heritage and compassion. We provided an end-to-end solution to authentically integrate this mission into an online experience.

The most important mission was to introduce the Bright Bites programme, creating a direct link between purchase and purpose. This programme assists children in Africa to cultivate their artistic talents. Through purchasing the clothes, customers help children develop their creative skills, and in turn, they are able to make art to help KendiKids spread their culture, adding value to each purpose.
To enrich the cultural heritage of the brand, we sprinkled bits and pieces of history throughout the website. One such was a dictionary section for the products, which introduced the African words used in the product names, such as Ndovu and Kanga, to bring the less known of culture to the global digital landscape.

Capturing Softness and The Circle of Love
When we managed the Photography and Videography production for KendiKids , the goal was to move beyond simple product shots and capture the feeling of genuine love and affection for the next generation. We prioritised creating a comfortable and soothing environment to help the babies feel most at ease during the photoshoot.
We focused on soft, natural light with touches of African-patterned elements to highlight the vision behind KendiKids. The images celebrate the joy of childhood while allowing the rich, culturally-inspired patterns speak for themselves.
We will continue to partner with KendiKids to capture their story and their Bright Bites programme, continuing the amplification of KendiKids as a powerful heritage brand for their audience.
