The Year of the Rabbit is here!
This lunar new year, we have decided to celebrate the festivities with a brand new set of WhatsApp stickers that our family and friends can use to liven up their chatrooms. Aside from the obvious inclusion of the rabbit, the animal of the year, we have also designed our stickers with Pantone’s 2023 Colour of the Year — Viva Magenta.
A blend of expressionism, creativity and the will to challenge the unconventional, we feel that the colour represents exactly how we wish to approach the new year. After the previous months (turning on years) of economical and geopolitical fronts that have loomed over us, 2023 is the perfect segue into a new chapter, one that shows glimpses of prospects and allows us to celebrate with optimism, joy and strength!
That is not to say we have forgotten our roots. Pantone straddles between the innovative and the organic by deriving this deep magenta from nature, cochineal beetles specifically. Cochineal beetles are the producers of carmine dye, one of the brightest and strongest colours in the natural dye family. The colour reminds us to be rooted in nature but to also embrace modernity with an open mind.
The splashes of Viva Magenta in our Chinese New Year stickers serve as a promise to balance our mindsets similarly to how Pantone described the colour — an appreciation for the old and the willingness to challenge the new. We are constantly reminded of the support we received from our clients, peers, and families, and are motivated by said support to leap past challenges and hurdles with innovation and creativity.
